Level 1 Chimney Inspection
If you haven’t made any major changes to your appliance, like a change in fuel or a relining job, and regularly have it maintained every year, then a basic level 1 inspection should be all you need.
We’ll inspect your flue for damages or buildup, make appropriate recommendations for repairs or cleaning services, then be on our way.
Level 2 Chimney Inspection
Have you recently converted to a different fuel type? Added an insert? Relined? Experienced a flood, tornado, or other natural disaster?
All of these events warrant a level 2 inspection, which is more thorough and incorporates the use of camera equipment to get an in-depth look at your system’s interior.
These are also required when buying or selling a home.
Level 3 Chimney Inspection
If there is a hidden hazard concealed in an area of your chimney or fireplace, and it cannot be accessed with a level 1 or level 2 inspection, then a level 3 inspection is next up.
These involve the removal of certain portions of your walls or chimney, potentially even demoing areas, as needed.
